design objectives
This, my second year designing U.S. Figure Skating's media guide and directory covers, required a unique cover design which highlighted Michelle Kwan, the gold medalist — but also a number of other U.S. skaters. The use of the gold medal and ribbon served to tie the front and back covers together, as well as provide a visual separtation to allow the other skaters to be composited in.
